Award represents second key win for CORIS^® OMS in 2016, and first in Australia

Montreal, Quebec, August 15, 2016 – Abilis Solutions, a global leader in the design and delivery of flexible, modular offender management solutions (OMS), is pleased to announce that Australian Capital Territory Corrective Services has awarded the company a contract to modernize the Agency’s offender management system. Teams from Corrective Services and Abilis have already commenced work on the project, and it is expected that the Agency will fully transition to the new system in early 2018. The award comes at the end of a rigorous and competitive procurement process which commenced in late 2015.

The new CORIS^® OMS will be hosted on the cloud-based Microsoft Azure platform, which will provide ACT Corrective Services with exceptional response times and scalability in a proven, highly secure environment. To secure this component of the overall solution, Microsoft experts, in concert with resources from Abilis, were required to provide extensive documentation and confirmation that Azure satisfies the rigorous information security and privacy considerations of the Agency. “Corrections plays a critical role in public safety, and it’s exciting to see Abilis bring their CORIS^® solution to Microsoft Azure.
