The State Compensation Board (Commonwealth of Virginia) held a two-day conference (June 13th & 14th) on Local Inmate Data System (LIDS) with LIDS Technicians and LIDS Advisory Committee members.

The objective of this conference was to introduce and update the LIDS primes on a wide array of upcoming LIDS changes. Abilis was invited as a key IT partner to present an overview of the LIDS-CORIS solution.

The Abilis team was recognized for its strong partnership and great project quality work on the LIDS-CORIS solution.

About the State Compensation Board

The Compensation Board provides the state portion of operating costs for jails, they also dispense inmate per diem payments.
For the purpose of determining appropriate per diem levels, the Compensation Board maintains the LIDS database which tracks persons entering and exiting jails. The Compensation Board also publishes various reports on jail operating costs.
